Our client is currently seeking a Registered Manager for their Childrens home based in Ilford.
The home provides OFSTED-registered high quality residential care, therapy and education for six clients 8 to 16yrs with SEBD.
Our client provides high quality care and education for children and young people with complex needs relating to their health, education, welfare and development. The client actively support the governments 'Every Child Matters' aim to ensure that children and young people need to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic wellbeing.
Examples of complex needs that clients may demonstrate are - Aspergers Syndrome, Attachment Disorder, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Partial Deafness, Epilepsy, Eating Disorders, Mild Mental Health Disorders, Social Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.
Salary:
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum - To be Confirmed.
Education:
Degree level/NVQ level 4/Equivalent
Management Qualification.
Experience:
Minimum Five years Residential Child Care Experience.
Minimum Three years in Senior Management Position.
Some Teaching Experience preferred.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity for a Highly Motivated, Innovative/Forward thinking and Experienced Manager to be involved from day one in setting up and operating a Very High Quality Home. Previous experience in a similar setting is essential. Candidates with some experience of Teaching would be preferred.
You will be required to assist in the Registration of the Home including writing up policies together with recruitment of other team members, training and motivating team members. Implementation of our DFES Registration for the on site Education facility. Formulating sound management policies. Ability to build strong relationships within the social services sector across the region and to promote the home. The full scope of duties would be discussed at the interview stage. A sound knowledge of current legislation and high quality practice are pre requisites for this position. Excellent package for the right person.
