Jump IT has a vacancy for a Product Assurance Supervisor to work within the Product Assurance Team.
To apply for this role you will need in depth experience of the software testing lifecycle including functional testing, integration testing and UAT, with good understanding of common technologies such as internet applications, databases, browsers etc. Experience of developing test conditions, tests and scripts to appropriate standards and executing these tests and recording results
You must be ability to successfully work with and influence the individuals under direct control – influencing and relationship building skills are therefore important.
Responsible for the day to day operation of the section ensuring the team delivers high quality testing on time. The role includes motivating staff and giving guidance and assistance where required, and providing support to the PA Team Leader. Prepare and conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews, define objectives for team
Manage workload of all team members , allocating requirements, scoping, estimating and testing tasks. Assist team members with defining test strategy and/or approach depending on size of test
Track and report on team workload and status. Represent the team in department meetings with IT Ops, Change Management, Development and Product. Escalate major issues to Team Leader and/or management, communicating possible solutions in a constructive manner. Ensure all work signed off in Production and user manuals are created/updated where necessary.
Candidates must be within commuting distance of London and have a UK/EU passport or Tier 1 visa.
