Senior Quantity Surveyor required for part site/ part office based position. Site based in Glasgow two days a week. Up to £45k plus package. Dry lining experience required.
Our client is a national specialist contractor who undertake interior and exterior fit out projects across a number of sectors including Healthcare, Education, Residential and Commercial projects.
They currently require a Quantity Surveyor to be based out of there head office and be part site based on a prestigious projects in Glasgow, up to two days a week.
The candidate will be part of a team responsible for the commercial aspects of a large contract supplying the dry lining of a new medical facility in Glasgow. Reporting directly into Senior Quantity Surveyors / Commercial Managers you will manage commercial aspects of this specific project and complete tasks assigned by the Commercial Manager, ensuring agreed profit levels are maintained, negotiating and quantifying with Operatives and measuring works as specified to price.
Responsibilities
Budget Management
Control, Design, Procurement exp
Supervisory Skills (experience of managing a small team)
NEC Contract experience
Trade interface experience
To measure, price and invoice all elements of work to be charged for the package of works contracted
Candidate requirements
• Fanatical attention to detail
• Able to adjust personal style to suit varying situations
• Able to read and measure drawings
• Literacy and numeracy
• Computer skills
• Commercial skills
• Previous experience in Microsoft Office and an understand of accounting packages
• Previous experience in similar industry and discipline
