£22,000 - £28,000 basic, overtime, on-call payments, company vehicle, excellent pension

EXPERIENCE :
You must currently be servicing or repairing large diesel generator sets either permanent standby power units or hired temporary power units with a grasp of mechanical and electrical preferably with 17th edition.
The company is a well funded, well backed, profitable growing supplier of diesel generator sets including permanently placed standby power units for backup power during electrical failures, semi permanent installations for problem areas, rural areas etc? and a hire fleet used by the construction industry, power industry, concerts, outside venues, offshore etc.. with installations ranging from a couple of days to some months.
The units range from powering a light string to grouped synchronised units running buildings. You role will be to extremely varied and will mainly involve field work occasionally workshop and could include surveys, pre-delivery inspections, electrical safety checks, mechanical safety checks, on site assistance during delivery, set up , routine periodic servicing, breakdown repair, fault finding, end of contract removal and a wide range of problem solving.
You may be asked to complete full strip downs on the units for major overhauls, you may also work on gas engines or some of the newer eco units.

To qualify for this role, you must currently be maintaining and repairing diesel generator sets possibly for a manufacturer, distributor, hire company or installer of standby power units. Full driving licence and good communication skills are essential.
