EU legislation requires HGV drivers (Category C1 and above) to have completed 35 hours of Driver Certificate of Professional Competence training by September 2014. Category D (PCV) licence holders must achieve their 35 hours in 2013.
Driver Hire Training run weekday and weekend public courses throughout each month at our dedicated training center in Gillingham.
Modules covered include; Drivers hours, Digital Tachograph, Fuel Efficient Driving, Customer Service, Delivery driving, Health and Safety and Road Traffic Laws.
