Clark James Insurance Recruitment are looking for a high calibre individual for this luctative, rewarding and challenging Business development role.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager for a leading Insurer/Broker dealing with Corporate / Commercial Insurance.
The role of a Business Development Manager primarily is to be responsible for achieving new business from new client targets within a specific geography. In this case, Hertfordshire, Essex and Norfolk.
As a Business Development Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Client relationships:
- Establishing contact & the needs of the main prospects in the area
- Developing an understanding and appreciation of the prospect's business and specific risks
- Developing a relationship with those prospects and introducing services to those prospects
- Use of CI marketing and other materials to help to develop relationships with prospects. This includes active participation in periodic sales campaigns.
Business proposition:
- Selling from across the full range of services to develop revenue streams and to build trust
- Participation, and where required, leadership of service proposition proposals to prospects.
- Developing good working relationships with the regional Client Management Teams, therefore selecting the most suitable Client Directors and ensuring they are effectively presented to the prospect.
As a Business Development Manager your skills and qualifications will include:
Experience of using databases
Sales experience essential, preferably in new business
Insurance experience preferable but not essential, sales ability more important at a high level
Proven sales ability - technical understanding of new business sales
Professional style, ability to impact and impress in 1:1 prospect meetings
Personable team player, ability to create good working relationships with Aon colleagues
Self disciplined and organised
General business awareness
Clean UK driving licence

Salary
£55,000-£65,000 + 25 days holiday, pension & benefits package
