EXPERIENCE :
You must currently be taking samples for cooling towers, boilers, chilled water systems, steam systems, analysing and dosing, preferably with a chemistry degree.
The company have been awarded a major set of new contracts across London and the Home Counties to monitor and service a complex set of cooling towers.
Your role will include the initial assessment of new sites for general working safety, cooling tower condition, leaks, past service record etc, taking regular water samples for analysis with your portable test kit, diagnosis of any out of tolerance responses and rectification, which may include re-timing of the dosing systems, servicing of dosing pump heads, adding directly chemicals to the system or recommending to the client further works including deep chlorination, acid descales, replacement or upgrades of dosing pumps. On a regular basis you will be overseeing engineers completing full services on the towers. You may also be sampling, testing and analysing boiler water, steam boiler feeds, chilled water systems.
The future prospects for this role will be discussed at interview stage but may include becoming more customer focussed, moving towards sales, becoming a fully trained specialist in your field, or moving towards L8 assessments.
To be suitable for this role you must be currently sampling cooling towers, completing tests on site and analysing with the ability to complete some of the hands on tasks personally.
