Buyer, Intermediate Buyer

Our client is a leading national specialist contractor specialising in internal and external fit out projects for some of the nations most recognised Building Contractors.

Due to expansion they Currently require a Buyer to join there busy Procurement division and be based in their Crawley office. Ideally the individual will have experience of working within the dry lining industry or at least have an understanding of internal fit out contractors.

In the first instance this is a six month fixed contract. But there is potential for the candiate to be taken on a permanent basis should both parties be keen.

Purpose of role

To ensure that materials and supplies are sourced and delivered in the most cost effective and timely manner. Supporting the business in work winning by providing sound advice on the cost and availability of materials.

Candidate Requirements

� Good communication skills �verbal & written

� Negotiation skills

� Good time manager, organised

� Able to prioritise effectively

� Good record keeping

� Ability to develop & maintain relationships with suppliers

� Previous experience in a customer facing role

� Enjoys working with people from different professional and trade backgrounds

� An understanding of Construction
