EXPERIENCE :
You must have excellent wide spread electronic knowledge with a sound understanding and experience of PCB Design, Software, Firmware Design, HNC or above in electronics and excellent communication skills.
Do you have a complete understanding of the whole process of taking a electronic concept through design to prototype and manufacture? With the ability to step in at any stage and assist in a hands on practical way?
The company have been established since the early 1990's, designing, developing and manufacturing complex custom electronics for a wide variety of applications. They have always constructed their own chip sets allowing a high degree of flexibility and ability to add or subtract features in the field using Flash upgrades.
Your brief is to take basic design concepts from customers, or from the regular in company design meeting, look at which ones are feasible, build up a specification list and how to achieve the end result, which may be hardware, software, firmware or a mix of all. Some can be achieved with minor changes to existing products, some may need ground up designs. You will then need to utilize the teams of specialists to drive the design through development, design, prototyping, testing and may include presentation.
During the process you may need to become hands on for one or all parts of the process, become involved in the pricing calculations, cost of manufacture, research into new technology.
